- (Noun) In psychiatry, the paraphilia of deriving pleasure from the implementation of any form of corporal punishment whether it be in the form of beating, whipping, or spanking of another.

- Etymology: After a sadistic Gerrnan schoolteacher, Andreas Dippold, who was convicted of manslaughter after the death of one of the children he abused. Also spelled, more rarely: dippoldismus.
