Bleeding is the emmission of blood through a wound or a body orifice. Bleeding can also be internal - for example a bruise is a type of internal bleeding. While not all injuries bleed, bleeding of the skin is a sure sign of broken skin such as a cut, abrasion or puncture.
Bleeding in spanking
While in some specific types of BDSM play bleeding may be desired or welcome, in most types of play, including spanking, it is usually not. Since bleeding is a sure sign of an open wound, there is an immediate high risk of an infection. If any bleeding is noticed, the play should be aborted at once. The wound should be disinfected and covered with a sterile band-aid or bandage.
